Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Place seeds two weeks in 4 \u00baC to germinate uniformly. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15\/20 \u00baC (the higher temperature for 16 hours in light and the lower one for eight hours in dark).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit shape<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Nut<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit type<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Nutlets globose to oval, roundish hilum with a small beak. Surface finely granulated, slightly lustrous, dark to yellowish light brown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed size: <\/strong>Length 1.3 to 1.4 mm, width 1 to 1.1 mm in an accession from Hamedan with 1000 seeds weight 0.3 g, which was collected in 2004 by Kalvandi, and the cultivated sample was identified by Ziba Jamehzad with accession number 19391.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1000 seed weight: <\/strong>0.3 to 0.5 g<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life form: <\/strong>A perennial, erect subshrub, pubescent, 8 to 30 cm long flowering stems, with pubescent, lanceolate elliptic leaves covered by numerous wine-colored glands.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescences and flower type and pollination mechanisms:<\/strong> Inflorescence loose head. Flowers hermaphrodite, zygomorphic light red (rarely dark purple). Plant monoecious, cross-pollinate. Pollination is carried out by insects (entomophily).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time<\/strong> <strong>of<\/strong> <strong>flowering<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Summer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of seed ripening<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Summer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed dispersal methods: <\/strong>The seeds are displaced by weight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geographical distribution: <\/strong>Iran and Turkey.
