Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15\/20\u00baC (the higher temperature for 16 hours of light and the lower one for 8 hours of dark).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit:<\/strong> Nut<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed:<\/strong> Nutlets ovoid-ellipsoid, dorsal side convex, ventral side angular with indistinct rib, areole (Whitish hilum at the base) straight. Surface smooth, lustrous, dark brown.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong>Seed size<\/strong>: Seed length: 1.2-1.7, width: 1-1.5 mm in an accession from Bardsir, Kerman with 1000 seed weight 0.3 g, which was collected in 2014 by Ghonchaee, and the cultivated sample was identified by Ziba Jamehzad with accession number 41251.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1000 seed weight:<\/strong> 0.3 g.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life form<\/strong>: Perennial, many-stemmed, woody at the base.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescence and flower type and pollination mechanisms: <\/strong>Inflorescence closely spaced verticillasters, spike-like in the upper part, one separated verticillaster in the lower part. Flowers hermaphrodite, zygomorphic, corolla light blue, 10-12 mm long. Plant monoecious, cross-pollinate. Pollination is carried out by insects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flowering Period<\/strong>: Summer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of seed ripening: <\/strong>August to October<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed dispersal methods<\/strong>: The seeds are displaced by weight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geographical distribution<\/strong>: Endemic to Iran.
