Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15\/20\u00baC (the higher temperature for 16 hours of light and the lower one for 8 hours of dark).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit:<\/strong> Nut<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed:<\/strong> Nutlets ovate to elliptic, dorsal side convex, ventral side slightly convex with distinct rib, areole (whitish hilum at the base) straight, bi-lobed. Surface obsoletely reticulate, dull, dark-brown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed size<\/strong>: Length: 1.3-1.8 mm, width: 1-1.2 mm in an accession from Taft, Yazd with 1000 seed weight 0.9 g, which was collected in 2006 by Arabzadeh, and the cultivated sample was identified by Ziba Jamehzad with accession number 21094<\/p>\n<p><strong>1000 seed weight:<\/strong> 0.9 g.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life form<\/strong>: Perennial, stems erect, unbranched, or branched at the upper parts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescence and flower type and pollination mechanisms: <\/strong>Inflorescence verticillaster. Flowers hermaphrodite, zygomorphic, corolla white purple-spotted, 12-15 mm long. Plant monoecious. cross-pollinate. Pollination is carried out by insects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flowering period: <\/strong>Summer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of seed ripening<\/strong>: August to October<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed dispersal methods: <\/strong>The seeds are displaced by weight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geographical distribution:<\/strong> Europe, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq.
