Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Place seeds at 4 \u00baC for two weeks to germinate uniformly, then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15-20 \u00baC (the higher temperature for 16 hours of light and the lower one for eight hours of dark).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit<\/strong><strong> type:<\/strong> Silicule<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit shape: <\/strong>Orbicular, circular, truncate, a little swallowed unevenly on different sides, with stellar hairs, 4-seeded<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit size: <\/strong>Diameter 3-4 mm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed<\/strong><strong> shape<\/strong><strong>: <\/strong>Ovate, surrounded with or without a thin wing, brown<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed size<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Length 1-1.5 mm, width 1-1.5 mm in an accession from Khalkhal, Ardabil with 1000 seed weight 1 g, which was collected in 2002, and the cultivated sample was identified by Valiollah Mozafarian and Saideh Sadat Mirzadeh Vaghefi with accession number 8380.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Average 1000 seed weight:<\/strong> 0.9-1.5 g<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life Form:<\/strong> Herbaceous, annual, height 9-20 cm, branched, stem erect to ascending<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescence, flower type, and pollination mechanism:<\/strong> Inflorescences raceme, flowers bisexual, sepals ovate, 2 to 3 mm long and 0.7-1.5 mm wide, petals dumbbell-shaped, 3-4 mm long and 0.5-1 mm wide, color yellow. Plant monoecious, cross-pollinated. Pollination is carried out by both wind (anemophily) and insects (<em>entomophily<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of flowering:<\/strong> Early spring to mid-May<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of seed ripening:<\/strong> Early summer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed dispersal methods:<\/strong> Natural agents (wind, insects, birds and animals)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geographical distribution: <\/strong>Turkey, Europe, Iran, Central Asia, Caucasus, Siberia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Syria and Palestine.
