Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15\/25 \u00baC (the higher temperature for 16 hours of light and the lower one for 8 hours of dark).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit<\/strong><strong>\/seed<\/strong><strong> type: <\/strong>Achene<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit<\/strong><strong>\/seed <\/strong><strong>shape:<\/strong> Achenes oblong-ellipsoid, areole bi-lobed, almost parallel. Surface with small rounded tubercles, dark brown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit<\/strong><strong>\/seed<\/strong><strong> size:<\/strong> Length 1.39-1.52 mm, and width 0.68-0.84 mm in an accession from Bandar Abas, Hormozgan with 1000 seed\/fruit weight 0.1 g, which was collected and identified in 2016 by Soltanipor with an accession number 45832.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Average 1000 seed\/fruit weight<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> 0.1-0.4 g<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life form:<\/strong> Annual, herbaceous, stems branched from base, covered with long simple hairs or short stipitate glands<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescence<\/strong><strong>, flower type, and pollination mechanisms:<\/strong> Inflorescence capitate, spike-like. Flowers hermaphrodite, zygomorphic, corolla purple. Plant monoecious, cross-pollinated. Pollination is carried out by insects, especially bees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flowering Period: <\/strong>Spring<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of seed ripening:<\/strong> August to October<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed dispersal methods:<\/strong> Seed weight<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geographical distribution<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Endemic to Iran.
