Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15\/25 \u00baC (the higher temperature for 16 hours of light and the lower one for 8 hours of dark).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit\/seed: <\/strong>Achene<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit\/seed shape: <\/strong>Achenes oblong-ellipsoid, rounded-trigonous in transverse section, areole bi-lobed, surface with small transparent rounded ornaments, brown.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit\/seed size: <\/strong>Length 2.3-2.56 mm, and width 1.15-1.51 mm in an accession from Marvdash, Fars with 1000 seed\/fruit weight 1.5 g, which was collected and identified in 2018 by Zeraatkar with an accession number 46889.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Average 1000 seed\/fruit weight: <\/strong>0.9-1.5 g<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life form:<\/strong> Perennial, herbaceous, many-stemmed, woody at base<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescence, flower type, and pollination mechanisms:<\/strong> Inflorescence cymes. Flowers hermaphrodite, zygomorphic, corolla purple, 14-16 mm long. Plant monoecious, cross-pollinated. Pollination is carried out by insects, especially bees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flowering Period:<\/strong> Late spring to summer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of seed ripening:<\/strong> August to October<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed dispersal methods:<\/strong> Seed weight<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geographical distribution:<\/strong> Endemic to Iran.
