Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Place seeds two weeks in 4 \u00baC to germinate uniformly. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15\/20 \u00baC (the higher temperature for 16 hours in light and the lower one for eight hours in dark).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit:<\/strong> Pod, narrowly oblong, pubescence, tuberculate, surface rough; 50 to 55 mm long and 6 to 8 mm wide, with 8 to 10 seeds per pod<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed:<\/strong> Ellipsoid to globose, sometimes flattish, hilum 1\/3 of the seed length. Surface dull, faint ruminated, dark purple brown to black (old seeds), sometimes spotted to marbled<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed size: <\/strong>Length 3.8 to 4 mm, width 3.5 to 3.82 mm in an accession from Hamedan with 1000 seeds weight 20.5 g, which was collected in 2013 by Kalvandi, and the cultivated sample was identified by Mostafa Nemati, and is stored in the Natural Resources Gene Bank of Iran with the accession number 42687.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1000 seed weight: <\/strong>15 to 32 g<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life form: <\/strong>Annual. Stem erect-ascending, hairy, greyish-green, 50 to 100 cm height<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescences and flower type and pollination mechanisms:<\/strong> Inflorescence axillary 1- or 2- flowered (rarely 3). Flowers hermaphrodite, zygomorphic, heteropetalous; corolla (composed of banner: uper large petal, wings: two petals adjacent to the banner, and keel: two bottom petals) lemon yellow, wings shorter than the keel; stamens are always ten in number, and their filaments are fused in a group of nine stamens plus one separate stamen (9+1). Plant monoecious, cross-pollinated, which is carried out by insects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time<\/strong> <strong>of<\/strong> <strong>flowering<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> June to July<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of seed ripening<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Summer<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed dispersal methods: <\/strong>The seeds are displaced by weight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geographical distribution:<\/strong> Turkey, Iran, Caucasus and Iraq. Typus from Turkey<\/p>\n<p><strong>Distribution in Iran: <\/strong>Northwest and West.
