Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Place seeds for two weeks at 4 \u00baC to germinate uniformly. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15\/20 \u00baC (the higher temperature for 16 hours in light and the lower one for eight hours in dark).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit type:<\/strong> Achene<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit shape: <\/strong>Subcylindric, weakly compressed laterally, apex truncate, pappus rough, brown creamy at base, longer than the achene, outer bristles shorter than interior, innermost bristles cream-colored, short and scaly; hilum sub-lateral. Surface glabrous, with some longitudinal faint striate, slightly lustrous, pale straw-colored<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit size:<\/strong> Length 5.87 to 6.04 mm, width 3.11 to 3.32 mm in an accession from Hamedan, with 1000 seed\/fruit weight 21.3 g, which was collected and identified in 2017 by Mohammad Mahmoodi, and is stored in the Natural Resources Gene Bank of Iran with the accession number 46950.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1000 seed\/ fruit weight: <\/strong>18.9 to 24 g<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological<\/strong> <strong>features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life form: <\/strong>Subshrub, perennial. Stem erect, 40 to 70 cm height, pubescent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescence, flower type, and pollination mechanism:<\/strong> Inflorescences solitary capitate, capitulum disciform; florets yellowish white or creamy, outer florets filiform; inner florets tubular; involucre ovoid, involucral bracts multiseriate. Plant monoecious, \u200ccross-pollinated.
