Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Place seeds for two weeks to two month\u200c at 4 \u00baC to germinate uniformly. Then germinate under an alternating temperatures of 20 \u00baC (16 hours of light) and 15 \u00baC (8 hours of darkness).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit type:<\/strong> Schizocarp (schizocarp is an indehiscent dry fruit that consists of two not compressed or compressed lattraly\/dorsally carpels called mericarp)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit shape: <\/strong>Mericarps narrow ellipsoid, compressed laterally, ventral side flat with a central rib, with visible vittae, dorsal side convex, five-ribbed, apex with a remnant of the style. Surface valleculae, glabrous, lusterless, dark-brown, ribs pale<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit size:<\/strong> Length 3.90 to 5.29 mm, width 1.31 to 1.68 mm in an accession from Falawarjan, Isfahan, with a 1000 seed\/fruit weight of 3.1 g, which was collected and identified in 2018 by Azadeh Akhawan, and is stored in the Natural Resources Gene Bank of Iran with the accession number 48282.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1000 seed\/fruit weight: <\/strong>3-5.3 g<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological <\/strong><strong>features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life form:<\/strong> Perennial, herbaceous. Stems erect, 120 to 150 cm high<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescence, flower type, and pollination mechanism:<\/strong> Inflorescence compound umbel in a narrow panicle, umbels with 5 to 7 rays, 1 to 4 cm long, umbellule with 5 to 6 pedicles, flowers white or pus-white with greenish strips. \u200cPlant monoecious, \u200ccross-pollinated. Pollination is carried out by insects and wind. <strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of flowering:<\/strong> Late spring<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of seed ripening:<\/strong> Late spring<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed dispersal methods:<\/strong> Seed weight<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geographical distribution<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Endemic to Iran. Typus from Pasghaleh, Darband, Tehran<\/p>\n<p><strong>Distribution in Iran:<\/strong> West, center and northeast.
