Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Place seeds for two weeks at 4 \u00baC to germinate uniformly. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15\/20 \u00baC (the higher temperature for 16 hours in light and the lower one for eight hours in dark).<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit type:<\/strong> Silicle, dehiscent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit shape:<\/strong> Ovate to orbicular, not compressed, beaked, glabrous, 2-seeded<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit size: <\/strong>Length 10 mm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed shape:<\/strong> Orbicular-elliptical, radicle furrow distinct, wingless, is not mucilaginous when moistened. Surface glabrous, indistinct reticulate, olive brown<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed size: <\/strong>Length 2.58 to 3.25 mm, width 1.87 to 2.35 mm in an accession from Zanjan, with 1000 seeds weight 4.2 g, which was collected and identified in 2017 by Mohammad Mahmoodi and Ali Bagheri, and is stored in the Natural Resources Gene Bank of Iran with the accession number 46591.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Average 1000 seed weight: <\/strong>3.8 to 4.7 g<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological<\/strong> <strong>features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life form: <\/strong>Perennial, subshrub, cushion-like, woody at the base, pubescent. Stems erect, 15 cm long<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescence, flower type, and pollination mechanism:<\/strong> Inflorescence raceam, flowers actinomorphic, sepals lanceolate, petals obovate, apex obtuse or emarginated, unguiculated at the base, yellow or purple yellow, striped. Flowers hermaphrodite and cross-pollinating. Pollination is carried out by insects and wind.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time<\/strong> <strong>of<\/strong> <strong>flowering:<\/strong> May<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of seed ripening:<\/strong> June to July<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed dispersal methods:<\/strong> Seed weight<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geographical distribution<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong> Iran and Iraq. Typus from Hamadan, Iran<\/p>\n<p><strong>Distribution in Iran:<\/strong> North, Northwest, West and South.
