Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Place seeds for two weeks at 0 to 4 \u00baC &#8211; germinate uniformly. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15\/20 \u00baC (the higher temperature for 16 hours in light and the lower one for eight hours in dark).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Morphology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit type:<\/strong> Silicle<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit shape:<\/strong> Elliptic to obovoid, widely winged, apex emarginated to obtuse, beaked, round at the base or sometimes cuneate, glabrous, loculus smooth or wrinkled, each contains one seed, with a dehiscent and sterile loculus under the fertile loculus<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruit size: <\/strong>Length 14 to 23 mm\u060c width 11 to 21 mm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed shape:<\/strong> Ovoid, apex narrowed, bottom truncate, radicular furrow distinct. Surface faint reticulate, orange-brown<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed size: <\/strong>Length 3.17 to 3.78 mm, width 2.02 to 2.93 mm in an accession from Beshagard, Hormozgan, with 1000 seeds weight 68 g, which was collected and identified in 2016 by Mohammadamin Soltanipour, and is stored in the Natural Resources Gene Bank of Iran with the accession number 45854.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Average 1000 seed weight:<\/strong> 28 to 68 g<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biological<\/strong> <strong>features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Life form: <\/strong>Perennial, subshrub, woody at the base, glabrous, caesious. Stem erect, height 30 to 60 cm<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inflorescence, flower type, and pollination mechanism:<\/strong> Inflorescence raceme, flowers actinomorphic, petals obovate-cuneate, unguiculated, purple. Flowers hermaphrodite and cross-pollinating. Pollination is carried out by insects and wind.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time<\/strong> <strong>of<\/strong> <strong>flowering:<\/strong> February to October<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time of seed ripening:<\/strong> Spring, summer and early autumn<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seed dispersal methods:<\/strong> Wind and seed weight<\/p>\n<p><strong>Geographical distribution: <\/strong>Endemic to Iran. Typus from uncertain locality <strong>Distribution in Iran: <\/strong>Center, Northeast and Southeast.
