Seed Storage
The storage behavior of this species is orthodox (desiccation-tolerant seeds); dry to 15-20 % eRH and stored at -20 °C.
Germination requirements
The seeds of this species show non-deep dormancy. Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15/25 ºC (the higher temperature for 16 hours of light and the lower one for 8 hours of dark).

Fruit/seed size: Length 1.51-1.77 mm, and width 1.08-1.14 mm in an accession from Kerman with 1000 seed/ fruit weight 0.5 g, which was collected and identified in 2016 by Purmirzaii with an accession number 45482.
Average 1000 seed/fruit weight: 0.3-0.5 g
Biological features
Life form: Herbaceous, perennial
Inflorescences, flower type and pollination mechanisms: Inflorescence cyme. Flowers hermaphrodite, zygomorphic, corolla pale blue to purple, 12-15 mm long, covered with hairs. Plant monoecious, cross-pollinated. Pollination is carried out by insects, especially bees.
