Seed Storage
The storage behavior of this species is orthodox (desiccation-tolerant seeds), dry to 15-20% eRH, and store at -20°C.
Germination requirements
The seeds of this species are not dormant. Sterilize seeds before placing them on wet germination paper. Place seeds for two weeks at 4 ºC to germinate uniformly. Then germinate under an alternating temperature regime of 15/20 ºC (the higher temperature for 16 hours in light and the lower one for eight hours in dark).

Fruit shape: Globose – ovoid
Fruit size: Length 3 to 3.5 mm
Seed shape: Reniform to circular, lateral view slightly compressed, dorsal and ventral side planoconvex, marginal face convex. Surface with concentric arranged papillae, lusterless, brown
Seed size: Length 2.08 to 2.42 mm, width 2.11 to 2.88 mm in an accession from Dandi road, Zanjan, with 1000 seeds weight 3.5 g, which was collected and identified in 2016 by Mohammad Mahmoodi, and is stored in the Natural Resources Gene Bank of Iran with an accession number of 46131.

Biological features
Life form: Perennial, subshrub, pubescent. Stems erect, 25 to 55 cm long
Inflorescence, flower type, and pollination mechanism: Inflorescence dichosium compound cymose; flowers regular, calyx gamosepalous, wide cup-shaped, 5-toothed, 2 to 3 mm long, corolla petaliferous, petals white flowers with a yellow center. Plant monoecious, cross-pollinated. Pollination is carried out by insects and wind.

Distribution in Iran: North, Northwest, West and center. Mostly in the provinces of Alborz, Tehran, Mazandaran, Azerbaijan, Zanjan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Isfahan, Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad
